Pipette Calibration Service Technician
Scientific Calibration is currently hiring Pipette Service Technicians at its administrative headquarters in Cary, NC. The position consists of in-house and on-site work which includes travel around the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Test, clean, repair, reassemble and calibrate pipettes to ensure they are conforming to our customer's standards
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and calibrations in-house and on-site
- Properly document work
- Complete all related reports
- Complete Data Entry into our system
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with calibration, service, or repair of laboratory instrumentation.
- Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills
- Must be computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office, and email, and can learn to work within the custom database and software applications
- BS/BA Degree in a life science or healthcare discipline, Healthcare/Life Science Student in the 3rd or 4th year, or previous 2-3 years equivalent education or experience in similar biological sciences or related discipline
HPLC-Mass Spectrometer Service Technician
Scientific Calibration is currently hiring Service Technicians at its administrative headquarters in Cary, NC. The position consists of in-house and on-site work, which includes travel around the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Installation and Certification of HPLC, GC-MS, and LC-MS systems
- Obtain or develop and execute IQ/OQ/PQ documentation for validation of analytical systems
- Complete Data Entry into our system
- Regularly scheduled out-of-town travel required up to 20% of the time
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong analytical thinker with an electromechanical inclination
- Experience with calibration, service, or repair of laboratory instrumentation.
- Strong understanding of the validation process with excellent documentation skills.
- Working understanding of FDA regulations, GMP and GLP
- Bachelor’s Degree in associated science (recommended). May be waived if satisfactory technical training and knowledge have been attained in the field
